An Invitation out of contentment and into Co-Habitation

As we start our fast and get closer to this Habitation weekend, I feel the Lord asking “Are we satisfied with the level of contentment that we have right now in him”

Im reminded of the church of Laodecea written too in revelations 3:18.

Revelations 3:16-I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

We confuse their lukewarmness with a state of sin. They looked and played the part well. From the outside any onlookers would have assumed that this community of people knew Jesus intimately, but Jesus called them poor, naked and blind.

It was their contentment in their well doing. It was their contentment in the wealth and the blessing that Lord had given them that was there problem.

They had forgotten the main thing. That the Lord was looking for a place to dwell among them!

Revelations 3:18- So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.

There is an invitation this weekend to make a choice. To take part in a reset. I believe the Lord is going to break the spirit of contentment this weekend for those of us willing to buy Gold from him. This week as you fast, ask the Lord where have I become content in my life in my relationship with you. And allow him to show you. When he does, RESPOND.

The simple truth is that he is waiting. He is a patient and long-suffering bridegroom! He is waiting for you!

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
